Genesis 24rth chapter is a well-explained marriage of Isaac. In other  words  a beautiful  chapter of prayerful matchmaking. When Abraham was old he knew the need of a good partner to his only son Isaac, here we see Isaac was not married until his mother Sarah died. Death of Sarah is explained in Genesis 23rd chapter and Isaac marriage is explained in genesis 24rth chapter. Abraham gives this great responsibility to his servant Eleizar to get a good and godly woman to Isaac from his generation at Mesopotamia. Eliezar was trustworthy servant and he was able to understand Abraham's faith in God. Eliezar started off his journey towards Mesopotamia and reaches to city of Nahor. Eleizar is also praying to God to guide him to choose a good and godly woman for Isaac. (Gen 24: 12) And he keeps a clause for himself that when I wait at the well city girls when they come to draw water I will ask them to fetch me some to drink, but when whosoever says that I will give you water and also will give water to your camels that girl would be the bride for my masters son. (Gen 24: 14) His prayers were answered Rebecca comes to the well and when asked water by Eliezar she offers him and also to the camels we can read the story of her departure from her parents house along with the Abraham's servant is written in (Gen 24: 25-67)

The first picture of Rebecca we see she is hard working woman with marked generosity. Isaac loved Rebecca and was comforted after his mothers death, love and comfort are two humanity fundamental needs.wise is the wife who seeks to soothe her husband's sorrow, cure his cares, and dispels his despondences. Isaac could see the qualities of his mother in Rebecca. There would be less broken homes in young couple love and comfort  is in each other.

Rebecca and Isaac lived 20yrs together happily. Isaac prayed to God for his wife because she was barren, here we see Isaac once again praying to God about his family needs ,first instance we saw he was praying in the field about his life when Eliezar went to bring him a godly and good looking woman now secondly we see he is praying for the fulfillment of Gods promise to Abraham he would be father of many generations (Gen15: 5)& (Gen17: 4) God graciously      ard       his prayer Motherhood came to Rebecca very late in her life she conceive d but she had a great struggle in her womb so she went to inquire of the lord. This is the first instance of a woman inquire of the Lord's Specific cultic procedure, usually done at some worship site (Gen25: 22) Rebecca had access to the Lord (1Samuel 9:9)&(judges20: 18).

The first twins mentioned in the bible are Esau who was red and hairy and second twin was holding onto his brothers heel who was Jacob, Boys grew Esau became a skilful hunter and Jacob a perfect tent dwelling man. Isaac and Rebecca were bound together by the bond of affection and godly fear till the children were born. Isaac never took a maid for he loved his wife. But parenthood changed them, Isaac loved Esau, and Rebecca loved Jacob. As Isaac became old and blind in his sight. Rebecca seems to be weaker in her faith, her companionship with her husband became a mere pretence? Esau already surrendered the birthright to Jacob for meat and pottage When she heard that Isaac wanted to bless his son before he pass away Rebecca pondered her younger sons' destiny .The heavenly message to Rebecca was for Jacob to be the covenant heir. (Gen25: 22) this message was no doubt known to Isaac Such a great event should have been discussed between both of them. They had communication problem.

The "TRICKERY of Rebecca" This familiar passage, in which Rebecca has Jacob disguise himself as Esau, to receive the blessing of the first born, is often seen as an evil act on the part of Rebecca She began to plot an act that was not according to God's will. She acted almost manipulative and scheming power play .She forgot God's part in the affairs of man. There is no excuse for Rebecca's actions in deceiving her blind husband and led her son in the sin. Rebecca acted independently, she could have shared the prophetic word of Jehovah when she inquired of the lord to Isaac (Gen25: 22) this would be lot more easy instead of deceiving and stealing both Isaac and Esau for the blessing. When parents show partiality to one of their children and show more affection, it results in jealousy and strife. Esau could not admire or respect his mother, as he did not receive her love. This is not an issue of her being concerned about her sustenance after her husband's death, is obvious from the fact that both Esau and Jacob were her sons and would have had responsibility for her as indeed Esau fulfilled after Jacob went away .

The last picture of Rebecca is farewell to her son Jacob She would spend her last days with unloved son and a husband who lost faith in her. She would end her days of sorrow and separation of her beloved son. Bible does not record her death. Though Isaac was much older to her he was still living when Jacob came back with his family, after 20years.Her beloved son could only gaze at tomb of his mother in the cave of Machpelah, near HEBRON (Gen 49:21)

Somewhere along the way, Rebecca followed her own inclinations, instead of following         God. It is better to grow old with God (Prov16: 31) her sinful actions brought sorrow and strife in the family. She failed to build a happy home. Her final words "why should I be deprived also of you both in one day? I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth (Gen27: 45-46).

From story of Isaac and Rebecca it is a Warning to all parents!!!!!!!!

Parents should love children equally as they are a gift from the Lord.

Wife should not conspire against her husband or vice versa.

Rebecca started well but failed in the END
