God does everything for our good
Once upon a time, a King in India was in the
habit of going from city to city dressed up as an ordinary person to check the
welfare of his people. During one of his trips he took his faithful minister
along with him. This minister was in the habit of saying "God does everything
for our good". The king would always take what he said with a pinch of salt and
sometimes even ignore it.
While they were walking through the jungle, the
king noticed that his little finger suddenly developed blisters. The king was in
pain and he told the minister about it . The minister took a good look at it and
said, "GOD DOES EVERYTHING FOR OUR GOOD".
The king was annoyed.He could not
understand how the minister had the audacity to say it to a person in pain
especially when he was the king. He decided to teach him a lesson.The king saw a
well and told the minister to get him some water . When the minister was drawing
water from the well, the king pushed him into the well and said,
"GOD DOES EVERYTHING FOR OUR GOOD" and continued his journey . Soon it was dark and the king was all by himself .He was pleased that he did something to stop the minister from his comments "GOD DOES EVERYTHING FOR OUR GOOD". There was a group of people in the jungle who were waiting for a lonely traveler so they could ambush him and offer him as a human sacrifice. They ambushed the king. The kings cry for help did not help him. The mob refused to listen to him as they did not recognize him even when he told them he was the king. They tied him up and they were done with all their rituals and were ready to kill him. Suddenly the leader of the gang ordered everyone to stop. He noticed the problem on the little finger and pointed it out to the rest of them that the sacrifice was imperfect he could be sacrificed . The king was untied and let go. Now the king really thanked God and believed that GOD DOES EVERYTHING FOR OUR GOOD. The king went back to the well to rescue his minister . He found him shivering the well and helped him out and told him his near to death experience. At this the minister very thankfully and sincerely fell on his knees and said GOD YOU DO EVERYTHING FOR MY GOOD. The king was puzzled. He said "so staying in the cold, dark well and shivering all night was good for you I guess"?
The minister said if I was not in the well, I would not have been alive today, I would have been the next choice and offered as a sacrifice if I was with you.
